The Educational and Research Testing Centre (ERTC) was established in 2023 by the decision of the Academic Council of the University and the Rector's order dated 21.11.2022, No. 265-01.
The Centre serves as a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary research and innovation, combining expertise across multiple scientific, engineering, and social domains. Its strategic mission is to generate new knowledge, foster technological development, and implement high-impact research outcomes for the benefit of society, industry, and education.
Main Objectives of the ERTC:
- To carry out applied, exploratory, and interdisciplinary research and development (R&D) activities;
- To generate and utilise new scientific knowledge for solving complex, real-world problems;
- To promote the implementation and commercialisation of research outcomes at both national and international levels;
- To support high-quality training of specialists in response to industry and organisational needs;
- To serve as a centre of excellence for innovation-driven, multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Areas of Activity:
- Conducting interdisciplinary applied research aligned with the university’s strategic focus areas;
- Providing scientific, technical, methodological, and informational support for construction standards and design practices;
- Performing product testing and certification in the field of construction and urban infrastructure;
- Engaging young scientists and talented students in interdisciplinary research under the guidance of experienced academic staff;
- Developing scientific and educational partnerships with leading domestic and international organisations to promote the university's innovations across industries;
- Facilitating innovation activities in cooperation with university departments to create knowledge-intensive products for high-tech markets;
- Supporting the creation and development of start-up initiatives based on the university’s research outputs and student-led innovation;
- Participating in the training of highly qualified professionals in collaboration with university departments and industrial partners, incorporating cutting-edge advancements in science, education, and technology;
- Organising and supporting educational, scientific, and outreach events in partnership with academic and professional communities.
